Before the trending Panagbenga Festival 2017 Igorot Hotties became viral last February, he was the first one who captured the attention of the running community after running wearing only their traditional bahag in the Run United 2 last June 2016. Who could have thought that the so-called "Bahag Runner" is now a member of Team Runner Rocky? And he took the month of April being our April 2017 Calendar Boy!

First of all why April? Well, April is a month of nature and the month where we celebrate the Earth Day. And being a pure Igorot with a strong love to the place (a well known nature's place) where he belongs, he perfectly fits the month! So let's get to know him better, our very own Igorot member!

Born on November 6, 1994, Ruean Cid Tagtagon or simply RC is a pure Igorot from Baguio City. He is a Psychology student from Saint Louis University.

Well to refresh your memories during the Run United 2 last year where he ran in bahag, watch this video:

As we quote, he ran in bahag not to make papansin but he ran to represent the Cordillerans that they are one. Yes, RC loves running. 

"I run with a purpose. Bat ba tayo tumatakbo? Bat ba tayo gagastos pero mapapagod din naman? It is because we run with a purpose,"  RC expressed.

But aside from running, RC is also a fitness enthusiast! He loves to go to gym and workout. His sports is basketball.

But why do you think that most of the Igorots including RC are hot and sexy?!

"Physically speaking, kitang kita naman kung gaano ka hard working at dedicated ang mga Cordillerans. Pero ung makita mo sila kung gano sila ka caring at thoughtful sa ibang tao? 'Ung ultimong sarili nilang kwarto e ipapagamit sa mga bisita. 'Ung kaya ka nilang mapa inlove with just their pleasing personality? And I think that's what makes us Sexy and Hot," RC explained on the question above on why most Igorots are hot and sexy! Hmmm.. seems like ang sarap mag-asawa ng Igorot ahi! What do you think?!

Well aside from being hot and sexy, what makes Igorot different from ordinary Pinoys?

"Napaka humble ng mga Cordillerans. Di kami showy. Di kami nagpapayabangan kung anu man meron kami hirap man o ginhawa, we just look up and say thank you," RC revealed.

Seems that Igorot's culture is really rich and interesting! When I further asked RC if what is the special culture of the Igorot that we didn't yet know, he replied: "just visit us para malaman niyo hihihi."  So alam na kung nasan kami in the coming days... :)

Meanwhile, RC revealed the favorite food of Igorot. And this is the pinikpikan with etag! Yes, this is a chicken dish wherein the chicken was "pinukpok muna hanggang sa mahilo bago iluto." I'll explain this further on my next Igorot Feature article hehehe...

So when we visited the Igorots in Baguio, alam na guys ang titikman nating putahe....
