Yes, he is definitely a rider genius! At the age of 16 now, he already won in different major international motorcycling competitions! And did you know that as early as 4 years old, he was already a rider?! Ladies and gentlemen, meet the youngest motor champ, Troy Alberto!
For the very first time, yours truly Runner Rocky met Troy Alberto in the Honda Flagship Store in Makati wherein he was introduced as the newest member of the Honda family. The event also served as an official send off party for Troy in Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (ATC) and in Honda Thai Talent Cup, two of the premier international races in the Asian region that use the Honda NSF250R, a bike made especially for racing.
During the event, I got an exclusive one-on-one interview with Troy wherein he shared his amazing beginning as a rider!
Who do you think inspire Troy to be a rider genius at the age of 4 turning him to international champion today? Why did Troy pursue this kind of sports? And what other interesting things we should need to know about this young guy? Well, find out below in my vlog interview:
Of course, I even grabbed my chance to have a selfie with him right after my interview:
Troy also showed support to Team Runner Rocky doing our very own hand-sign:
Will Troy also join the boygroup of sports and digital community? Well, let's find out in the coming days!
More about Troy, he is the only Filipino selected to take part in ATC. He completed a series of try-outs last August 2017 and begun with test races in Malaysia last February 19 to 20. The race, which will run for several months, will have six rounds and will be held in various locations including Thailand, Japan, and Qatar and will begin on March 16.
Alberto also qualified for the Thai Talent Cup, and will begin competing in April. The races aim to hone racers that will eventually compete at the Motorcycle Grand Pix or MotoGP.
Meanwhile, the send-off event coincided with the grand opening of the Flagship Shop in Makati City, one of Honda’s latest shops in the country. It gathered HPI executives, as well as bike enthusiasts to promote racing in the Philippines.
Good luck Troy! Great to meet and interview you! 03/08/2018 (Runner Rocky)
