Yours truly Runner Rocky got the privilege to be invited and cover the intimate media launch of the Rebisco's newest Men's Volleyball Team. They were named as the Criss Cross King Crunchers following the Rebisco's popular potato snack!
The newly formed group is composed of skillful male volleyball players both professional and newbie from the different teams and from the different prestige schools.
I've got the chance to have a one-on-one interview with their team captain and with some of the members of the team which I will share with you on my next feature. For now, let me share with you the news story during our intimate media launch. Here it goes:
Expanding its support for professional volleyball, Rebisco launched its 3rd volleyball team, the Criss Cross King Crunchers, on March 1, 2024, at the Joy~Nostalg Hotel in Ortigas. The team is set to compete for the first time in the 2024 Spikers’ Turf Open and Invitational Conferences starting in March.
Criss Cross is Rebisco’s potato snack brand that comes in creamy cheese, cheesy sour cream and onion, sweet pepper steak, classic potato, and sweet corn flavors.
“Volleyball continues to rise as a sport in the country, not only for women but for men,” said team manager Lizanne Co. “We are excited to introduce the Criss Cross King Crunchers men’s team headed by team captain Ysay Marasigan and coached by Anusom “Tai” Bundit.”
“We expect men’s volleyball to also rise in popularity as seen in the large crowds that watch foreign men’s teams when they visit the country,” Co added. “Our local men’s teams can also be as world-class as any other country’s.”
