2014 is the year when Runner Rocky was born! And this year, this 2024, we are proud to say that we are celebrating our successful 10TH Year Anniversary!
October 2014 is actually the time when this blog site www.RunnerRocky.com came into existence. Since during that time, yours truly was very much active joining and participating in the different running events, I've decided to put up a new blog site that would cater my passion in running and at the same time would serve as my article hub for my different fitness activities including sports and active lifestyle. Therefore this blog site came into existence having a name of "Runner Rocky" since I was a very active runner back them!
Actually 2014 was also the year when I started to become a runner. It was March 2014 when I joined my supposed to be very first running event - a fun run called the AmCham ScholaRun sponsored by my previous company. I supposed to run 3K but I came late in the actual running event so I wouldn't able to run. Out of frustration, I've registered to a 21K running event in World Vision Run 2014 which was set in April 2014. My bad bully former officemates bet on me - pinagpustahan nila ako! They though I can't make it. They bullied me na manlilibre daw ako sa kanila pag hindi ko natapos ang 21 Kilometer-. But I've just ignored them, those bad people that were wishing others to fail! I've focus on my goals and on my passion! And luckily, I successfully completed my 21 Kilometer-Run in World Vision, my very first half-marathon and at the same time, my very first actual running event! I finished strong with a time of 2 hours and 15 minutes if I remember correctly! So napahiya silang lahat! And from then on starting from April 2014 onwards, I joined different running events almost weekly! Until in October 2014, the official blog site of Runner Rocky was born!
I'll share more exciting and inspiring stories about Runner Rocky in the coming days. But for now before the year 2024 ends, let me take this opportunity to celebrate, to commemorate, and to give thanks for the achievement of Runner Rocky website as it reached its decade of success!
